| Nissan Silvia: Series 1 - S13 (1988 - 1990) |

The Silvia S13 was introduced in 1988 with three body styles - the coupe, convertible, and fastback (180SX). The Japanese market cars featured the 1.8 litre DOHC CA18DE and CA18DET engines. The S13 won numerous awards in Japan for its high level of technology and innovation, which included Nissan's HICAS four wheel steering system.

J (Jack), Q (Queen)
The Silvia J is the base model with a very basic interior and non-turbo engine.
The Silvia Q is the mid-range model, which includes full electric options. Like the J model, it is non-turbo, but it was available with an optional Limited Slip Differential (LSD). |

K (King)
The Silvia K is the top model featuring the CA18DET turbo engine, full electric options, and optional Limited Slip Differential (LSD). Apparently, there were a few non-turbo versions manufactured. |

180SX
The Silvia 180SX looks much like the North American version (the 240SX). There was only one model of the 180SX available, which featured the CA18DET turbo engine, full electric options, and optional Limited Slip Differential (LSD). |
Additional options available for all models include:
Heads-Up Display ( HUD ):
Displays a digital speed reading onto the windshield.
Coolbox:
Located in the glovebox, it was designed to act as a mini-fridge to keep drinks cold.
HICASII:
Nissan's four wheel steering.
Sunroof:
An electric slide back sunroof was available.
Velour / Leather Trim:
The majority of Silvia's came with a tweed trim, but some will be lucky enough to find a model with Velour, or a leather interior.
ABS:
Anti-Lock Braking System can be found on many Silvia's.
