GTS
This coupe has the first of the RB series of engines still in use in the latest version of the Skyline today. The RB20DE produced 155 HP in normally aspirated trim. |

GTS-X, GTS turbo
With the addition of a turbo, the RB20DET engine now produced 185HP. The GTS-X featured the HICAS (High Capacity Active Steering) all-wheel steering system for the first time in Skyline history. The GTS-X also includes a speed sensitive front spoiler. |

GTS-R
The best of the R31 models was the GTS-R. Nissan introduced the R31 Skyline GTS-R in 1987 with a RB20DET engine tuned to 215hp due to a different turbocharger and different exhaust manifolds. The engine tuning was supported by an improved suspension as well as tuning on many other parts of the car. |
